The Republic of North Macedonia is ready to sign a declaration or an annex to the Neighborhood Agreement with Bulgaria. This was stated by Prime Minister Zoran Zaev after the 25th Congress of the Macedonian Social Democratic Union, reports BNR.
Zaev said that there is no need for a new agreement between the Republic of North Macedonia and Bulgaria, the current one is excellent. The Macedonian Prime Minister also revealed what the document would contain:
“And there is no problem of expression – oral, written, declaratory or personal, as well as international diplomacy accepts that the Republic of North Macedonia – the long name of the state, and North Macedonia – the short legal name of the state, refer to the territory of our land – “The Republic of North Macedonia and nowhere else. And that we have no territorial claims on any of our neighbors anywhere in the world and, at the same time, we agree that interference in the internal affairs of neighboring countries, including Bulgaria, is always a principle. “
Zaev added that he was ready to confirm readiness for the construction of Corridor 8 and to strengthen economic cooperation.
