Although the RHI officially lifted my quarantine, on Friday I postponed all public meetings and events for the next few days. After two PCR tests today I am positive for COVID-19. This was announced on his Facebook profile by Prime Minister Boyko Borissov.

“In general, I have a general malaise, at the moment, at the discretion of the doctors, I remain in home treatment. All contacts with me have been subjected to the RHI. I am sure that following the measures, we will go out together!”, He said .

Borissov, along with Agriculture Minister Desislava Taneva, Finance Minister Kiril Ananiev, Regional Development Minister Petya Avramova and GERB’s Sevdelina Arnaudova, who usually broadcast their appearances live on her Facebook account, were quarantined. Friday evening. Then the Prime Minister himself announced that he had isolated himself.

Some 24 hours later, after two negative tests, the RHI announced that it was lifting the quarantine of Arnaudova and Borisov, and later of the Minister of Finance. They were in contact with the positive test during the week, Nikolay Nankov, Deputy Minister of Regional Development.

Borissov often ignores the requirement to wear a mask, for which the Cabinet has been fined multiple times. Last weekend, together with Nankov and Taneva, he toured the Rhodopes. He usually travels in the accompanying jeep.
