Real Madrid beat Barcelona 3-1 in the first Clásico of the season. Federico Valverde (5), Sergio Ramos (62 from a penalty) and Luka Modric (90) scored for Zidane’s team, Ansu Fati (8) scored for the Catalans.

Thus, Zidane registered his sixth game without defeat at the “Camp Nou” at the helm of Real Madrid in all tournaments. The victory was his third as Real Madrid coach at the Temple in Barcelona, ​​and there are three draws. Sergio Ramos was the great hero in the field of the White Ballet. He made and scored a penalty for the most important goal of the match, the second, which practically decided the outcome of the match.

The first dangerous attack of the match was on the hosts. Leo Messi invaded the penalty area, but Varane was careful and kicked the ball with elegance.

A controversial situation in the guests’ penalty area in the 28th minute required a consultation with the VAR. Messi entered the penalty area and fell after a duel with Casemiro, but the repetitions clearly showed that there was no violation.

Real Madrid’s excellent fast attack created tension in front of Neto’s goal in the 36th minute, but Vinicius’s shot was blocked.

Zinedine Zidane made a change before the break. In the 42nd minute, Lucas Vázquez appeared on the field in place of Nacho.

In the added time of the first part Vinicius took behind the defense of the culés, broke almost to the profile, but his attempt to return the ball in front of the door was killed in a corner.

Initially, the judge did not rule on a violation, but after a signal from the VAR, he reviewed the situation and granted a sanction. Ramos stood behind the ball and made no mistake – 1: 2!

Once again in the role of catching up, the Catalans began to attack more aggressively and in the 65th minute Coutinho slalomed between several “white” defenders and fired, but his shot was blocked.

In the 70th minute, the locals also demanded a penalty for playing with Varan’s hand, but an 11-meter penalty was not awarded, as the Madrid defender’s hand was glued to the body. Six minutes later, Messi masterfully spun the ball from a direct free kick, but Courtois scored. In the 29th minute, the Argentine again had the opportunity to launch a free kick, but this time the ball hit the wall.

Five minutes before the end, Neto did the impossible and kept Barcelona’s hopes up. The goalkeeper first saved two consecutive shots from Kroos at point-blank range, and seconds later he reflected with a foot and a shot from Sergio Ramos.

Reserve Luka Modric put an end to the dispute with a goal in the 90th minute. He punished with a technical blow a collective error by the goalkeeper and the defense of the Catalans.
