Habib Nurmagomedov defended his UFC lightweight title against Justin Gage. The Dagestani finished off his asphyxiated opponent in the second round and burst into tears in the middle of the Octagon.
Geiji fell unconscious from the grip for a moment, and when he regained consciousness he went to calm the Eagle. Habib dedicated the victory to his father Abdulmanap and shockingly announced that he was ending his career.
The two fighters began the fight very cautiously. The first hits went to Geiji’s account. Habib did not leave the center of the octagon and Justin kept a long distance.
The Dagestan began to harass the contender with forehand fastballs and hooks. Geiji ate a flying knee, making the American’s breathing quicker. Habib followed a very strong minute or two, in which he literally chased the opponent through the Octagon. Geiji responded with a left-to-right combination, but that didn’t stop the Eagle’s momentum.
At the end of the round, Habib finally recorded a takedown in the cell itself. In the fight he managed to hold Justin’s hand to the barn and only the mermaid saved the contender.
Geiji made a mistake early in the second half and was knocked down. Downstairs, the Eagle turned around and took out Justin Gage in armor.

Seconds after the end of the battle, he signaled that he would not rejoice and fell to his knees in the center of the cage. The champion cried, and when the American regained consciousness he went and calmed him down.
