Nightlife in the capital stops for at least two weeks. Tests carried out in the last 24 hours revealed almost 600 new infections in Sofia and another 1,000 in the country.
On Vitosha Boulevard, most of the restaurants are open during the day. Tomorrow all nightclubs, piano bars, discos and night bars in Sofia will be repeated for at least 2 weeks.
The reason is the growing number of people infected by coronavirus and the inclusion of the capital in the red list of the so-called risk areas.
Apart from Sofia, Shumen nightclubs will be closed tomorrow. Friday was the last working day for Pernik’s. In Sliven, the ban was postponed to Monday.

Industry reacted sharply to the move. “We will summarize it as dust in people’s eyes. At the moment, there are no proven patients from our restaurants and clubs,” said Richard Alibegov of the Bulgarian Restaurant Association.
Lachezar Zahariev is the owner of a nightclub. “After the last shutdown, the recovery was difficult, and now recovery may be impossible,” he said.
Restricting the nightlife will not be the only step. The headquarters in Sofia recommends, if possible, to all employers to introduce an organization for online work and a university – distance learning.
However, each university decides for itself. For example, UNWE now studies only online, also in some faculties of the University of Sofia.
However, changes in the form of education in the capital can only take place with the consent of the Minister of Education, and only if the growth trend of the infection continues.
Meanwhile, an international march was held against COVID measures against the introduction of mandatory outdoor and indoor masks. Dozens of people gathered in front of the National Theater without masks to express their dissatisfaction with the measure of funds outdoors.
