US President Donald Trump has said he thinks Sasha Baron Cohen, the comedian behind the Borat movies, is not funny.
Baron Cohen’s new film, Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, shows Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani in a compromising situation in a hotel room with a young woman posing as a journalist (played by Bulgarian Maria Bakalova), Associated reported Press. Giuliani said at the time that he had been the victim of a “personalized strike.”
Trump told reporters aboard the Air Force 1 presidential plane that he did not know about the Giuliani incident.
“But you know, years ago he (Baron Cohen) tried to play with me,” Trump said. “And I was the only one who said, ‘There’s no way.’ This guy is a fake (No way. This guy is a fake guy). ”
“I don’t find it funny,” Trump said, adding, “It’s a phenomenon to me.”
Trump appeared briefly on HBO’s “Da Ali G Show” in 2003, but left the interview with Baron Cohen’s character, Ali G, just a minute later.
