European champions Bayern Munich beat Atlético de Madrid 4-0 in a Group A match of the Champions League, played at the Allianz Arena.
The “Mattresses” were audacious in the match, but the Hansi Flick guys created more dangerous situations and proved effective.
Niklas Zule hit the crossbar, and half an hour later Kingsley Coman opened the door for Madrid. Shortly before the break, the Frenchman registered an assist for Leon Goretska.
Immediately after the break, Joao Félix’s goal was disallowed by an ambush, and in the middle of the second half the Bavarians landed two more hard blows, scoring twice in six minutes through Tolisso and Coman.
Thus, Bayern led the group in which Salzburg and Lokomotiv Moscow drew 2: 2 today.
Atlético, who came out with an electric yellow jersey, started surprisingly much better than the hegemony of Europe and in the third minute they were able to find the result, but centimeters deprived the new addition of Luis Suárez to detect the center crossed at the second post. left of Yannick Carasco.
Soon after, the Bavarians finally entered the match. Kingsley Coman advanced on the left wing and crossed into the Spanish penalty area, where Robert Lewandowski opted for an attractive aerial shot, which unfortunately the hosts were imprecise.
Before a quarter of an hour later, the crossbar saved Madrid. Joshua Kimih crossed from the corner, the ball was picked up by Thomas Müller and Niklas Züle finished off with his left foot from the air. However, the ball bounced off the right post and then Atlético managed to make a joint effort. A small corner kick from Corentin Tolisso followed, but Jan Oblak saved.
An incredible opportunity opened up for Carasco in the middle of the first half, but Manuel Neuer caught the weak blow from the Belgian and then rushed the sleepy defense in front of him.
In the 28th minute, Bayern opened the scoring in a characteristic way by the style of play imposed by Hansi Flick. Joshua Kimih boldly dived for the ball and managed to win it, then delivered a magnificent pass from deep to Kingsley Coman. The hero of last season’s Champions League final masterfully stopped and scored in the lower right corner.
Bayern landed another hard blow shortly before the break, this time Koman assuming the role of passer. He shot to the right for Leon Gorecka and the midfielder launched a relentless blow from the air to find the left corner of the gate guarded by Cloud.
A minute and a half after the restart, Joao Félix put the ball into the net behind Neuer, but the Bayern captain rightly called for an ambush due to the presence of Luis Suárez. The ambush, however, was marked after a slight delay and the impact was ignored.
An hour of play had already passed when a new good opportunity opened up for the Bavarian giant. However, Thomas Mueller played the situation “from penalty to touch”, because by shooting the penalty, he literally sent the ball for a throw-in. Atlético responded with a quick counterattack, but Yannick Carasco’s final shot was a real disaster.
In the middle of the second half, the difference in digital expression started to become threatening, because Cloud had to reach the network behind him again. However, the credit went entirely to Corentin Tolisso, whose formidable projectile from 23 meters fired like a bullet and left no chances for the rival goalkeeper.
Man of the match, Kingsley Coman, beat Atlético in the 72nd minute, because not only did he score his second goal in the match, but he literally made fun of the defense of the guests and especially Felipe. The Frenchman received a good ace from Mueller and entered the penalty area, then scored diagonally.
In the final part of the match, Munich relaxed and Atlético created several quick actions, which, however, never materialized in a dangerous situation in front of Manuel Neuer’s door.
