The European club champion Bayern Munich defeated visiting Atlético de Madrid with a clear 4-0 in a match on the first day of the group stage of the Champions League of the 2020/2021 season. This significant success comes just two months after the Bavarians defeated another Spanish grandmaster 8-2 in the tournament against Barcelona in the quarterfinals. In this way, the winner of last season’s triplet consolidated his excellent form, which he carried this autumn.
The first goal was scored by Kingsley Coman in the 28th minute, Goretska increased to 2: 0 in the 41st and Toliso made the classic difference in the 66th. In the 72nd minute Koman again hit for the final 4: 0.
In the 15th minute, Suhle hit a crossbar at point-blank range after a cross from Mueller’s corner.
Three minutes later, Coman found Tolisso in the penalty area and shot into the nearby corner of Oblak, but the guard took a corner. However, after its implementation, the defense faced danger.
In the 26th minute Kimih made another corner kick for the Bavarians, in which Sule played again, but this time his header was too loose and bubble.
In the counterattack, Carasco turned around Pavar and Kimih, found Suárez uncovered in the penalty area, but the Uruguayan showed an inaccurate view up close.
Seconds later, Bayern put the Madrid defense to sleep. Kimih found Koman with a long pass, who redeemed himself from his cares in the penalty area and shot across Oblak’s diagonal from 2 meters – 1: 0.

In the 41st minute, again, Koman was the basis for the next goal. The Frenchman received the ball on the edge of the penalty area, showed a keen eye and immediately passed Goretskaya on the right, who fired a flash from Cloud for 2: 0.

In the 45th minute, Mueller centered at the far post for Lewandowski, but the Pole’s experience went over the top post.
The second half started in an interesting way. Joao Félix scored the 2: 1 with a shot from close range, but the goal was disallowed because Suárez got in the way of the ball, interfered with Neuer’s visibility and managed to play, although he was in an ambush.

In the 52nd minute, Kimih dumped the ball into the penalty area after a corner kick, it was cleared, falling to Hernández, who fired a volley, but inside the out.
In the 64th minute Atlético organized a quick counterattack in the middle, in which Joao Félix advanced strongly, entered the area and passed by the left of Yannick Ferreira Carasco, whose shot, however, was not infinitely inaccurate, despite of the proximity to the arch of Neuer.
120 seconds later Corentin Tolisso struck the upper left corner of Oblyak after a brutal beating with his right foot about 25 meters, forming the classic 3: 0 score.

In the 72nd minute, Koman was only taken off by Mueller’s right wing, he ran ahead, entered the penalty area, where Felipe faked twice and calmly stretched the net for 4-0.
In the 85th minute, Felix hit a free kick with his right foot, but it flew inches from the upper right corner of the gate.
