Outdoor masks become mandatory from Thursday, tomorrow I will issue an order for the new measure. This was stated by the Minister of Health in a briefing for journalists during his visit to Lovech.

The main argument for the introduction of the measure is the preservation of life and health of Bulgarian citizens and doctors, explained the decision of the two expert councils, which met today, the minister.

He also commented on the case of President Rumen Radev. Based on the information at his disposal, Angelov explained those data for a positive genetic sample. Petrov was there on October 16. The president was informed by the defense chief that he was the contact person on October 18.

The measurements are the same for everyone. As soon as he gets off at the airport, President Radev will be invited for a PCR test. Until your results come out, you will be quarantined. This is the order for all citizens, Angelov justified.

The aircraft crew will also be asked to test, monitor for symptoms, and notify the RHI or your GP.

The Minister of Health also commented on the reduction of the 14-day quarantine period. He announced that it will be 10 days, as long as there are no coronavirus symptoms by day 10.

Nightclubs will not close, Angelov was categorical, adding that district-level measures are within the purview of the local headquarters, the same applies to the Sofia Crisis Headquarters, he emphasized.

The Minister clarified again what will be the functions of the National Logistics Center: this will be a call center that will provide a link between the different areas for a maximum response to a problem.

“We monitor 23 indicators, the number of positive tests is just one of them,” Angelov said when asked why the Unified System statistics report all positive tests, regardless of whether they are primary or secondary.

“Now is the time to gain the understanding of the majority of Bulgarian society. The key is the life and health of all, there is no need to worry if the measures are followed,” said the Minister of Health.
