The state is ready with the money bill next year. NOVA has the draft budget of the State Social Security, or this is the money for pensions, salaries and benefits.
As of January 1, the minimum pension becomes BGN 300 and the maximum increases from BGN 1200 to BGN 1440. As a general rule, the ceiling is also tied to our income taxes, but now the cabinet will not increase them.
They are considering raising pensions equally
The money of all pensioners also changes by 5%. The BGN 50 supplement remains in place next year, but until the end of March, when this government’s term actually expires.
What is happening to the Bulgarian workers? The government is betting on an increase in the minimum wage of BGN 40, so from BGN 610 it will become BGN 650.
The minimum unemployment benefit is also expected to increase from BGN 9 to BGN 12 per day. The 60/40 measure will continue.
Total expenditures for the government-set social budget exceed BGN 12 billion, with an additional BGN 2 billion set aside for new cabinet measures alone.
The state allocates almost BGN 2 billion more for pensions, salaries and benefits compared to the current year’s bill. As of January 1, the lowest pension in our country becomes BGN 300 and the highest, BGN 1,440. However, this will not increase the maximum insurance income.
“With a maximum insurance income of BGN 3,000, over 40 years of insurance experience, with this coefficient of 1.2, which is currently in force, the maximum pension limit is exactly BGN 1,440”, explained the Minister of Social Affairs , Denitsa Sacheva.
What changes in tax legislation does the Ministry of Finance propose?
Unions did not like the fact that maximum insurance was unchanged.
“It is not clear to us exactly what category of people we have cared for so much and we have to care for them with such purpose, for the people with the highest incomes,” said Dimitar Manolov, president of Podkrepa.
However, there will be a change in the minimum insurance income for self-insured Bulgarians, which will increase from BGN 610 to BGN 650. And in the conditions of COVID-19, the state has provided more money to help the business.
“The budget for D00 also includes BGN 300 million for the continuation of the 60/40 measure in the first months of next year,” Denitsa Sacheva said.
The Minister of Social Affairs defended the accounts signed before the Supervisory Board of the National Institute of Social Security. Where he heard criticism from employers and unions.
“The union representatives criticize that maternity payments are being withheld, because of the insurance income of agricultural producers, because there are 420 BGN left and the fact that we are modifying the minimum insurance income. Employers, for their part, do not agree that they should continue to pay 3 days of sick leave.
Despite criticism, the draft budget for the State Social Security received the support of the Supervisory Board of the National Institute of Social Security.
