The Slavia team won the next edition of the oldest derby in the capital in the efbet league. The “whites” congratulated Levski with minimal success on the re-debut of their new coach Alexander Tarkhanov.
The battle in the Ovcha Kupel district was decided in 120 seconds at the end of the first part. In the 35th minute the hosts organized a quick counterattack, thanks to which Kaloyan Krastev scored a wonderful goal in Mihailov’s net. Shortly after, the Levski players were left with one less person as Zhivko Atanasov lost his temper and hit former “son” Atanas Kabov off the ball.
From then on, the Centuries played a relatively strong second half, but Zdravko Dimitrov’s mistakes deprived them of the point. Despite the triumph, Slavia remains in the penultimate position of the efbet League. Levski is ninth with 11 points.
At the beginning of the match, it was not so much the play of the two teams that impressed, but the distribution of the “blue” fans. The warring Levski’s factions parted ways not to repeat the battle scenes of a few weeks ago in Komatevo, when the Ultras fought each other in the guest cage.
Levski demonstrated an idea of greater activation at the start of Sofia’s oldest derby. Zdravko Dimitrov was energetic on the wing and in the 11th minute another cross could turn into a goal assist. However, Martin Raynov and Andrian Kraev were delayed in their attempts to spot the ball.
The “blues” striker in this match – Andrian Kraev had positioned himself perfectly in a cross from a Dimitrov foul and hit his head on 18. He hit the gate, but Georgi Petkov was in place and caught .

The central defender of the “blues” Zhivko Atanasov lost his temper and pushed without the ball was provoked by Atanas Kabov. Stanislav Todorov saw the situation closely and did not hesitate to expel Levski’s No. 3. It should be noted that the injured Kabov provoked his former teammates from the beginning of the match. The great opportunity to equalize was opened to the guests after exactly one hour of football. Mathew Stamatov advanced excellently down the wing, then exchanged a double pass with Raynov. A moment later, the defender had already centered perfectly for Zdravko Dimitrov, whose volley, however, went over the top post. And the distance from the goal line was about 6-7 meters …
Slavia could have doubled their lead in the 70th minute. Andrea Hristov is cunning and quickly moves to the first beam in a corner. The defender managed to fire a shot that would have killed Mihailov had it hit the edge of his gate.
Mateo Stamatov played risky in his own penalty area, landing firmly at the feet of Emil Stoev. The Slavia winger could have scored a penalty, but decided not to look for one, but to combine with Kirilov, who, however, failed to hit the ball.
Levski fans and players had a ferment with head referee Stanislav Todorov in the 82nd minute. Then, according to them, Robert’s strike was stopped at the hand of a “white” defender. The Shumen referee did not respect their claims and signaled for play to continue.
Until the end, nothing interesting happened in front of both gates and so Slavia congratulated themselves with their second victory since the start of the season.
