The students’ fall break will be one day longer. Instead of resting for only three days, from October 30 to November 1, November 2 will not be school, it is clear from a post on Facebook by the president of the Union of Employers in the Bulgarian Public Education System and director of the 119th Diyan Stamatov High School.
“November 2 – Monday is a day of ABSENCES for teachers and school principals. According to the interpretation of the MLSP and the provisions of article 154 of the Labor Code,” explains Stamatov. МОН.
Then there are the Christmas and mid-term holidays. The first is from December 24 to January 3, 11 days. Between the two quarters the rest is five days from January 30 to February 3 inclusive.
The second trimester has only one vacation: spring. Traditionally, it is shorter for high school graduates. For students in grades 1-11 it is April 3-11, while for 12th grade it starts only on 8th.
Exam days will be non-academic. Graduation exams are on May 19 and 21, and the national external assessment for grades 7 and 10 is on June 16 and 18. Outside of school, but present for school, educational and cultural activities, it is May 25th.
