The reason is that over the past 13 years Karayancheva has become a major factor in the impregnable mixed region. As an engineer, she turned the GERB-Kardzhali into a well-oiled machine that managed to liquidate the BSP as the second political force in the district and even depersonalize the MRF, which has always ruled there.
