Environment and Water Minister Emil Dimitrov will request a 1-year postponement of the well registration.
“We are discussing it with the Minister of Agriculture. The problem has been going on for 10 years. But this year, because of the coronavirus, it is better to postpone it 1 or 2 years,” Emil Dimitrov said on the “NOVA Sunday” program.

Regarding the dams, the minister assured that the situation was under control.
“This year we have criticized the” Studena “,” Dyakovo “,” Asenovets “,” Zhrebchevo “and” Ticha “dams. Now there is only one:” Kamchia “. We fix all the dams,” Dimitrov said.
“Due to the cold, there was a regime. Now there are 22 million and another 2 million and they will overflow. We will not allow it. It already supplies everything in Pernik, and they have connected to another city: Radomir. “Bobov Dol would run out of water due to the Dyakovo dam, at the moment there are almost 28 million,” Minister Dimitrov said.

He explained that restrictions for the Kamchia dam have started, with the first timetable, which was signed in January. It was clear that there was no problem for this year, but it was expected that if it was dry, a problem would appear in 2021.
The MoEW called on citizens to save water
“We will connect Poroy and Aheloy to Kamchia, 2 water pipes will be built,” Dimitrov explained. According to him, up to 60 million BGN has been allocated for this.
