Tottenham collapsed in the re-debut of Gareth Bale (video)

Gareth Bale will not remember well his second Tottenham debut after the Spurs gave a 3-0 lead and managed to take just one point in the London derby against West Ham. All three “hammers” goals for the 3: 3 tie fell after Bale entered the game.

Tottenham were ruthless in the first half and took the lead in the first minute. Hyun-Min Son gave the hosts the advantage, catching a long pass from Harry Kane, taking care of a defender and sending the ball inescapably up the diagonal. Seven minutes later, the roles were reversed and Son assisted Kane, who doubled the spurs’ lead with a powerful shot outside the area.

West Ham looked down and in the 16th minute Kane scored his second goal, with a header from the left by Sergio Regilon.

The game seemed completely decided in favor of the hosts, for whom Bale appeared in the 72nd minute instead of Son. A little later, Kane failed to form his hat-trick after the crossbar stopped his shot. Then, however, the “hammer” boom began.

The visitors reduced the lead in the 82nd minute after Fabián Balbuena headed in, and three minutes later Davinson Sánchez scored a ridiculous own goal, trying to clear a cross from Kufal.

Within 20 minutes of appearing on the field, Bale was able to mark his second debut with a goal and put an end to the dispute. The Welshman was well served by Harry Kane in a Tottenham counter, passed a rival defender and went out alone before the goalkeeper of the “hammers”, but failed to hit the door.

His omission was severely punished. In the last seconds of added time, Tottenham collapsed and Manuel Lansini scored a goal that will surely fight for No. 1 of the season. After a free-kick, the ball was cleared, but it landed on Lansini, who from about 20 meters sent an inescapable shot, which bounced off two of the rays before entering the net behind Hugo Loris.

Thus, Tottenham missed a tied game and two important points, while David Moyes’ team showed encouragement, thanks to which they managed to leave with the point from “Tottenham Hotspur Stadium”. Spurs have missed points with Liverpool in second place and currently have eight as many as Chelsea in sixth place, while West Ham has one fewer.

Enough people!
