A 37-year-old former Spanish soldier shot and killed his Bulgarian girlfriend at a gas station in the town of Pegera on the island of Mallorca, reported the Spanish newspaper Ultima Hora. After the murder, the man turned his gun on himself and shot himself in the head, reports dnes.dir.bg.
A bus driver was the first to meet the bloody sight and stopped loading. He notified the gas station employees, who reported him to the police. During the inspection it was established that the 36-year-old woman was also shot in the head. His body was found in the driver’s seat.
The gun was found between the killer’s legs, who pulled the trigger with his toes. The bullet went through his head and exited through the roof of the car.
Investigators reviewed images from gas station cameras, according to which the car with the couple arrived at the gas station shortly after 12 o’clock on Thursday. The car stopped behind the building near the toilets. However, no one heard the two shots, which investigators say is odd because a hunting rifle was used.
The couple lived in Palma de Mallorca and the Bulgarian worked as a waitress in Punta Bayena. According to unofficial information, the 36-year-old woman is originally from Kardzhali.
