Barcelona lost their visit to Getafe with a minimum of 0: 1 in a match of the sixth day of the Spanish League, played at the Alfonso Pérez Coliseum.
The Catalans did not show the game they showed at the beginning of the season and allowed a goal at the beginning of the second half, which was the work of Jaime Mata (56 ‘). Despite their best efforts, the guests never tied. Lionel Messi took aim at the crossbar in the first minutes of the game.
So Barça have not taken advantage of the loss of their blood enemy, Real Madrid, tonight. The Catalans are in the 9th place with an asset of 7 points. Getafe moved up to second place with 10 points, as did the teams from Real, Cádiz and Granada.
The match started equally and both teams took no unnecessary risks. However, the attractive game suffered because of it and the situations against Soria and Neto were lacking.
However, in the 20th minute Lionel Messi took advantage of the empty space in front of him and immediately bombarded the gate, hooking the outside of the left post.
In the 30th minute Clement Lengle caught the ball in the small area after a direct free kick cross and directed it to the left corner, but goalkeeper David Soria made a great save.
At the end of the first half Messi made a good free kick shot, sending the ball to the lower left corner Soria, however, he again showed class and dived and saved.
In the second half, the Catalans began to look more and more at the door of the hosts, but they never managed to reach the desired goal, which to a certain extent unlocked their game.
In the 55th minute, the Getafe players received the right to take a penalty. Frankie de Jong tried to steal the ball from Jenne in the penalty area but knocked the player to the ground. Judge César Soto Grado pointed to the white point and Jaime Mata was undefeated – 1: 0.
In the 79th minute, the hosts were unable to double their lead. Kuku shoots from the edge of the area. The ball flew hard towards the gate, but Neto made an excellent save.
Ten minutes later, Kucho advanced dangerously and found himself face to face with the Barça guard. Luckily for Neto, the forward’s shot went well over the bar.
At the end of the match, the Barça players launched into desperate attacks, which, however, never led to at least a draw in the match.
