Real Madrid, champions of Spain, lost at home 0-1 to debutant Cádiz in a match on the sixth day of La Liga. Choco Losano scored the only goal in the 16th minute.
The whites slept the first half of Alfredo di Stefano, and after the break the pressure did not help them, and once the crossbar prevented them from scoring. This was Real Madrid’s first defeat at the training base where they have played since June.
The Andalusian team started with confidence. Less than two minutes later, Sergio Ramos shot in front of the goal line after Tony Kroos gave the ball to Álvaro Negredo. The striker shot in the opposite angle, Matt Thibaut Courtois, but the captain of “Los Blancos” threw himself into the split and saved his team.
The Madrid team did not enter the game well and rarely attacked. In the 14th minute Negredo superbly finished off the ball, but Courtois reached out and made a masterful save. In the 16 “yellow submarine” he deservedly found the result. Negredo dropped the ball for Losano, who had overtaken Ramos to score 1-0.
Zidane’s guys apparently picked up the pace, but even that didn’t pose a threat at the guest door. In the 1930s the rookie made a great ball with a kicked ball. Losano ran forward, reached the penalty area and decided to shoot, did it unconvincing and Courtois killed. In 38, the champion of Spain created the first good position. After a corner, Rafael Varane shot his head from seven meters and aimed away from the crossbar, but in a rather dangerous way. At 43, Courtois made a big mistake trying to catch a seemingly easy centered ball. However, Choco Losano was not ready and the door was empty.
The whites advanced and pressed. However, the guests defended themselves neatly and without panic. A quarter of an hour before the end, Zidane took Kroos out and released Luka Jovic. Two minutes later, the Serbian forward sent the ball into the net, but in a clear ambush by assistant Benzema. In the 81st minute, Karim hit the crossbar after a powerful shot from 20 meters. Pressure from the hosts was most often expressed in the strike, which rarely reached the receiver.
With the success, Cádiz tied on points with Real Madrid. Both teams are first and second in the standings.
