People begin to gather in the Triangle of Power. As of yet, there are no improved security measures, but according to bTV, four checkpoints will be built.

Two MEPs are expected to take part in the dissidents’ rally around 6.30pm live and two more to join the “Great People’s Uprising 5” online.

Claire Daly will also join online, which according to bTV will not be able to come from Bourgas to Sofia and will participate in the protest tomorrow. His visit to Bulgaria started with a scandal in Pomorie.

Claire Daly arrived in the Black Sea city this morning to meet with Irish apartment owners and the management of a hotel complex.

“I am a representative of the Dublin constituency, where the owners who have problems with the complex come from. They told me it would be a private meeting to solve these problems,” said the MEP.

Visibly annoyed by the presence of journalists, the MEP left the meeting before it started and said: “I will be back when the media leaves.”

The Irish owners, who number 80 out of 1,000, refuse to pay a maintenance fee for the common areas of the complex.

“We think the rates are too high: 15 euros per square meter. Even during the pandemic, we don’t have electricity or water to wash our hands,” said Jerry Mulvey, one of the Irish apartment owners.

“They want individual lots. Due to the fact that the complex was built with a building permit before 2004, it was built with central infrastructure and it cannot be separated so easily technically,” said Nikolay Pavlov, manager of the hotel complex.

“I am not with any party, but without Claire Daly we would be lost. The issue of corruption that is happening here was raised,” said Catherine Riley, the owner of the apartment.

In the resolution on Bulgaria, which was approved by the European Parliament, at the initiative of the Daily, the Pomorie case was included as an example of a breach of the rule of law. Pomorie Mayor Ivan Alexiev accused her of a conflict of interest.

“Ms. Daly to answer if you have a personal interest in this complex. Do you want to resolve a private dispute for political purposes, which is unacceptable for a high-class politician like you? This is unacceptable! Do you want to apologize to Pomorie and Bulgaria for Will you apologize for including this unpleasant text in the resolution? ”Alexiev asked the MEP.
