Yesterday a driver was injured after the express train from Sofia to Stara Zagora was stoned.
Victim Yordan Adzherov told BNT that upon entering the Plovdiv station, a group of children were standing on the right side of the rails and waving at the train. As he passed, one of them threw a stone. The glass of the locomotive broke and Azhderov felt a blow. “We greet them with the train signal. When we passed, one of the children threw an object, I closed my eyes and then something hit me. My colleague and I saw that it was a stone, ”he said.
“If I were alone, it could be a great tragedy, especially if the conductor faints and the train moves in a prohibition sign. “The train has protection to stop, but while it stops, it can pass the prohibition sign and collide with another machine that is maneuvering,” he warned.
He described the incident as an assassination attempt and asked citizens to explain to their children that it was dangerous.
