Plasma of blood groups AB and A is urgently sought for three coronavirus patients, two of whom are physicians, warned the Association for the Treatment of COVID-19 with convalescent plasma.

A doctor from Shumen with a coronavirus infection needs plasma of blood group A. His colleague, a urologist from Sofia, and another patient with blood group AB, who are in serious condition, also need plasma for the treatment of Covid-19 .
The Association recalls that a plasma donor can be anyone who has had the infection and has developed enough antibodies.
The donation is made at the National Center for Transfusion Hematology in Sofia and can be repeated. For those who wish to become donors to the country, the Association is looking for opportunities to cover travel and hotel expenses.
