The Plovdiv Appeals Prosecutor’s Office later announced that two men had been arrested in a specialized police operation involving the opening of another factory for the illegal production of cigarettes. On October 10, in the village of Kalekovets, police officers inspected a farm. The room was well covered with tin panels placed on the windows. During the search and seizure, 1,600 kg of chopped tobacco, 27 denkas / bales / dried tobacco leaves, prepared for its preparation, three tobacco cutters, etc. were found.
A pickup truck full of bales of uncut tobacco was parked in front of the hallway door.
