During the week MEPs passed a European Parliament resolution on the rule of law and fundamental rights in Bulgaria. According to Yordanov, “for us it was a great betrayal against Bulgaria, which the BSP carried out again with the help of” democratic Bulgaria “in the person of Radan Kanev.
“It is clear to everyone that this is a left-liberal conspiracy against our country,” he said.
According to him, the “stain” in Bulgaria remains and will be traded for years. “There will be deputies who will return to it and remember it. The left has once again placed its narrow partisan interests above common sense, professional objectivity and morals,” Yordanov said.
“I am there to defend Bulgaria, not to imitate Radan Kanev,” he added.
The MEP recalled that only a week earlier the EC issued a report on the same issue. “The report was written by professionals, experts who have really understood the facts as they are. However, the resolution was written by politicians and each of them has taken a limited political interest. They have personal and commercial interests against Bulgaria,” categorical Alexander Yordanov.
