16 people from the Home for Mentally Retarded Adults: Kachulka village tested positive for coronavirus infection, the Regional Crisis Headquarters said. At the moment, their status does not require hospitalization, the treatment of the employees will take place at their home, under the supervision of their personal doctors, the users will be monitored on the spot by their personal doctor. COVID-19, conditions have been created for the isolation of infected users, all necessary measures have been taken against the spread of the coronavirus. The social institution has capacity for 200 users, the medical staff and the rest of the staff working in it are more than 100 people. Investigations continue.

In addition to those diagnosed at home, 19 other district residents tested positive for coronavirus infections in the past 24 hours. Five of them fell ill in two family outbreaks. 14 people tested positive after being examined in the triage rooms of Sliven hospitals or were voluntarily examined.

Among the patients are a teacher and a student from two different schools. The infection did not occur in educational institutions, but in a family home.

By municipalities, the new cases of COVID-19 are: 26 – municipality of Sliven, 6 – municipality of Nova Zagora, 2 – municipality of Kotel and 1 – municipality of Tvarditsa.

The regional crisis headquarters asks citizens to assume personal responsibility and discipline for compliance with ordered anti-epidemic measures: proper use of protective masks indoors, observance of physical distance, regular disinfection at home and in work, frequent hand washing.
