The European Parliament (EP) resolution for Bulgaria discredited the ruling party’s propaganda rhetoric, President Rumen Radev said.

According to him, the resolution has clearly demonstrated that, in fact, behind Bulgaria’s beautiful motto for European development, there is a morally failed government and corruption.

According to him, a government is swirling, undermining the foundations of the rule of law and practically halting its development.

The debate and the vote in the European Parliament debunked another theory: that the ruling party is the face of Bulgaria before Europe, which has wide approval, the head of state said.

“Even the party of this European family, the European People’s Party, did not fully support the ruling party in Bulgaria. This is very significant.”added.

According to him, this situation should be resolved quickly and fairly, after which a new parliament should be formed with the necessary confidence.

“I vetoed this Electoral Code, but unfortunately the Bulgarian parliament did not take this possibility into account – the hand that I extended for me to correct their decisions so that there are no doubts about electoral manipulations, to avoid chaos, to solve the problem of invalid ballots “. , with manual counting, with manual elaboration of protocols, etc. Unfortunately, from now on the door is open to all kinds of manipulations during the elections and to challenge them, which is not good ”, Radev pointed out.

In the next elections, instead of having only machines in the sections with more than 300 voters, there will be devices and paper ballots. Responsibility for providing the voting machines was transferred to the CEC, prompting the resignation of the then commission chair, Stefka Stoeva, in August.

Radev pointed out that there are indisputable facts about how official briefings are conducted, in which instructions are given for the production of invalid ballots. He refers to the video in which former GERB Mayor of Plovdiv Ivan Totev explains that you can get an advantage with invalid ballots.

According to him, if this problem is not solved and people’s trust in the fairness of the electoral process is not restored, they will simply flee the polls.

On Friday, he met with the leadership of the Varna University of Economics and the students of the school.
