Despite declared support in advance from the EPP, the party to which the GERB belongs, some deputies abstained from voting, while others supported it. Socialists and Liberals also voted in favor of the resolution. Radan Kanev and Elena Yoncheva became his main supporters in public space.
However, it was Kanev’s support that led him to criticize Borissov’s defender.
