Yes there are. When the inspection is done, I’ll give you details.“, he said when asked if there is such an inspection. According to Yanev, no one was injured in the invasion. It is not clear when the inspection will end. The prosecution is not involved, it will be carried out only by the Interior Ministry. The action took place in Hristo Botev Levski, Vrazhdebna, Druzhba and Dimitar Milenkov.

The CDCOC has a sad record of trespassing on the wrong addresses. In 2010, for example, masked and armed policemen entered the house of singer Krassimir Avramov and arrested him. They then apologized. Later, foreign media reported that during the same action, again by mistake, policemen entered the home of a French banker. A year later, a family from Varna complained that the door had been knocked down early in the morning after mistaking the entrance to the block. In 2014, the police raided the home of an elderly Vidin family. Subsequently, the then Interior Minister Yordan Bakalov visited them personally and apologized.

Five people were arrested during the action on Monday. According to the Ministry of the Interior and the Special Prosecutor’s Office, they were involved in a criminal group for usury, extortion, drug distribution and patrimonial fraud. Yanev explained that there was data that private bailiffs also participated in the schemes, but for now this connection is being verified. Some of those arrested have been convicted of threatening to kill and injure. All five were detained for 72 hours. The prosecution will request his final arrest.
