Nova Broadcasting Group is now the legal owner of Channel 3, the two musical televisions The Voice TV and Magic TV and 4 radios: Veselina, Vitosha, Magic FM and The Voice.

The media company presented documents to register its new property in the Mercantile Registry after the deal was confessed to a notary public.

It was authorized by the Commission for the Defense of Competition on September 17.

Until now, all 7 media were owned by BSS Media Group, whose owner is Gergana Danova. Months before the deal, her company also included Elite Media Bulgaria EOOD, the company that broadcasts Channel 3.

Information television, known for its live broadcasts of major events, is licensed to broadcast in Sofia, and in the rest of the country it is broadcast by cable. Since September 1, 2017, the channel has broadcast in HD format.

“If the deal is made, Channel 3 will be our news television and therefore we will not interrupt Nova’s program with extraordinary programs,” Nova Broadcasting Group manager Iva Stoyanova told 24 Chasa some time ago. The media profile will be preserved, but the company will invest in its highest quality. At the same time, Nova intends to develop in the radio market, as well as maintain musical televisions. According to Stoyanova, viewers will not hesitate which channels to choose when they want to watch movies, music, sports or news.

The CPC authorized the transaction after accepting that the concentration would not lead to the establishment or strengthening of a dominant position that would affect effective competition in the market for television, online and radio advertising, as well as in television broadcasting.

In August, Nova Broadcasting Group

officially acquired and 100% of

online group “No information”

Until then, the television company owned 70% of the group of sites. The deal for the remaining 30% was approved by the CPC in February. It was finalized after price negotiations with the previous owners were completed: “Darik Radio” by Radosvet Radev and “Web Finance” by Hristo Hristov.

Net Info is the largest online group in Bulgaria, with several sites in its portfolio, as well as the video content platform Vbox7.
