The ship was built by the two of them for the purpose of the expedition.

The ship “Neverest” arrived in Barbados, Caribbean, at 12:00 local time today, October 6. The crew traveled 4,444 nautical miles (8,230 kilometers) in 105 days. The Bulgarians stopped for only 9 days on the island of Lanzerote, Canary Islands, to repair the autopilot system and the leaks in several warehouses of the ship.

The crew set sail on June 14 from Portimao, Portugal. Son Maxim was then 16 years and 293 days old, making him the youngest ocean rower in the world to successfully cross the ocean, according to the Ocean Rowing Society’s official ocean rowing expedition record.
