A 29-year-old woman in labor from the village of Vodno died yesterday morning at the Dulovo Emergency Center. Today, the woman was supposed to give birth to her third child with a scheduled cesarean section, but she died clinically. During her pregnancy, Jevrie Yunuz had no complaints.
On Monday night she felt ill and her relatives immediately called 112. Dulovo’s ambulance arrived within minutes.
“The ambulances did something to help, but they are only on duty. Then the doctors and nurses started coming, but it was a waste of time,” the mother’s mother-in-law, Erdinc Mehmed, told BNT.
“The condition has deteriorated drastically, the medical team has provided resuscitation, help has been provided, but she still died, as did the fetus that was pregnant,” said Ivelin Chafalanov, from the Silistra District Prosecutor’s Office.
Jevrie’s relatives suspect they carried the baby. An autopsy was ordered to determine the cause of death. According to them, the baby was 10 months old. The mother had died of internal bleeding.
“The girl was 10 months old, the error of the doctor, Mr. Minkov, carried the pregnancy, the girl was 10 months old, received internal bleeding and poisoned the mother. How he could not see, how he did not understand, the child is in the tenth month ”, complains the mother-in-law Aysel Yunuz.
The gynecologist who supervised the pregnancy denied the allegations to BTV and revealed that prior to the tragedy Dzhevrie had an accident at her home. After that, his condition worsened.
“Something happened, an accident at her house and she arrived at the Emergency Center in a coma. According to her relatives, she simply fell and her relatives found her capable and searched for the emergency team. She was at the end of her pregnancy, she had a cesarean section planned for today, “said obstetrician-gynecologist Dr. Lyubomir Minkov.
“We are investigating absolutely everything that could lead to this death. We have no data at this time that violence has been used against her, “said Ivelin Chafalanov.
If the girl is found to have died from a medical error, the law provides for 1 to 6 years in prison.
