The repair of 12 km of the Trakia highway has started, reports the Road Infrastructure Agency.
Repair works will begin on October 5 on the Burgas lane. A total of 52 km are planned to be rehabilitated in stages.
The section to be repaired is from km 156, after the Belozem road junction, to km 168 before the Orizovo road junction. During construction activities, the traffic will be bi-directional on the Sofia lane, and the speed will be up to 70 km / h.
As of tomorrow, the works will begin with the installation of the signaling and road signs necessary for the implementation of the temporary organization of traffic in the 12-kilometer stretch, so that the construction activity itself can begin on Tuesday on the site. .
The connection of the “Plodovitovo” highway junction of the “Trakia” highway on the Burgas lane to the third class highway III-666 Orizovo – Plodovitovo – Parvomay will be closed. Travelers to Parvomay can exit the Trakia highway near Chirpan and return to Plodovitovo and Parvomay on the second-class highway II-66, reports RIA.
Activities in the 12-kilometer stretch include the complete replacement of the asphalt pavement, improvement of drainage, placement of a new horizontal marking, road marking and restrictive systems. The repairs will be carried out by the company “Autopistas”.
The renovation is expected to be completed in late October and early November. Subsequently, work will continue in the direction of Burgas on the 40-kilometer stretch from Orizovo to Stara Zagora. The road to Sofia will be repaired next year.
