I cannot agree that a member of Parliament is elected solely by the votes of the parties.
He said he did not know how relations would develop at the BSP. “They are living people who at some point can make a personal assessment and leave. Rather, Ninova should strive to keep members around the ideas at home, “Mikov explained.
According to him, the “left” has been severely fragmented for years. “This happened 3-4 years ago, when Ninova dissolved the BSP Left Bulgaria.” This fragmentation took place once as a division between communists and social democrats and a second time within the BSP itself, “added Mihov.
“We will not make a new party, because there is still the possibility that the socialists, who are in the BSP, understand what kind of replacement is taking place at the top of the party. There is a mismatch between words and deeds.” The opposition as a term it was coined quite speculatively by Ninova and was conveniently used throughout the purge campaign, “said the former BSP leader.
“I believe that the BSP should be prepared for the opposition, because in the long term the party may have to make compromises that hide risks to its existence,” Mikov concluded.
