My feeling is that there is an agreement between Cornelia Ninova and Boyko Borisov. BSP supports GERB until the elections because Borissov fears a provisional government. As you can see, the BSP is standing in the parliament, rather than in the square and with the people right now. You see the response in the big European media and in Europe. The second largest party in the country and the first largest opposition party cannot help but gain traction with what is happening right now.
This was said by MEP Elena Yoncheva on the “Studio Ha” program on 7/8 television. She commented on the resolution of the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs – LIBE, which will be debated in the plenary hall of the European Parliament on Monday.
We recall that the resolution was commented on both by the Romanian MEP Ramona Strugariu and by other MEPs.
“It is time not to touch all this theater. We are tired of these productions. Everyone has to get out. What I tell you is known, it is known by the BSP, it is spoken within the BSP. When we started talking. and we decide that we can and should leave our comforts, then there will be a change, “he added.
I have no doubt that there is an agreement between Ms. Ninova and Mr. Borissov, because I see what happened to the signs I made against them, not just the sign at the Puerta de Barcelona, there are other signs. that he has not signed them can be interpreted in another way, but it is logical that when a signal is made against the leader of a party, the leader of the opposition supports him, if not with his signature, at least with his position. “But even after that, I never heard Ms. Ninova ask for an investigation into these signs. Please correct me if I’m wrong,” he said. According to Yoncheva, her BSP colleagues did not support the resolution of the LIBE committee in the EP in any way, nor did they work on it.
Yoncheva insisted that the LIBE resolution pays attention to the signals presented against Borissov.
As for the leaked recordings of Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, he recalled that there is already an analysis of an American laboratory, which showed that this is Borissov’s voice. But neither Ninova nor his BSP colleagues reacted on this issue.
“Ms. Ninova was not interested in that. She had no reaction to this. When it is already clear that such an analysis exists, a truly opposition party cannot remain silent. There is only one logical conclusion, I made it last year, in May, that there is an agreement between Ninova and Borisov. Apparently, Ninova supports Borisov until the regular elections so that there is no interim government. Until the next elections, enough calm will be guaranteed, whatever that means “, Yoncheva was categorical.
“I don’t think the BSP will accept GERB. I mean Ms Ninova and her attitude towards GERB. I don’t think the BSP will accept such a coalition, because there are brave and honest people in the BSP who will not allow it.” added the MEP.
Regarding the expulsion of Sergei Stanishev from the Executive Bureau of the BSP, Yoncheva said that the BSP could not be differentiated from the leader of the PSE in Europe, whoever he was. According to her, it is these parties (the socialist parties in the EU) that have supported the LIBE resolution and are trusted to support its presentation to the EC.
Yoncheva also recalled the BSP vote for Sotir Tsatsarov in his nomination for president of KPKONPI. According to her, the people who voted for him are currently by Ninova’s side. “Among these 27 people there are people who are in the leadership of the BSP. My only explanation is that Ms. Ninova is satisfied with the way Tsatsarov fought corruption during her time as chief prosecutor,” he added.
“What I am saying is in favor of the Bulgarian left, because I believe that the left can advance our country. In Bulgaria, in principle, we are on the left because we want a strong social policy, but we also need a strong right-wing party. This facade of democracy must end. “Ninova should go to the square, not support Borissov until the regular elections,” Yoncheva insisted.
According to her, the GERB is neither from the left, nor from the right, nor from a liberal party. “It is a business model that has managed to legitimize itself in some way. It is a group. This is also evidenced in the LIBE resolution. When this resolution is discussed on Monday and voted on Thursday, it means that it is no longer in Europe.” They are listening, but they will act. Nothing is ready. The battle for the rule of law is not a daily battle, “he said.
“We won a great battle by managing to present this resolution in the plenary hall. This resolution is not against Bulgaria, but against the way our country is governed, it is in favor of the state and for its protection,” Yoncheva said.
He commented at the end of the conversation that the political formation in the European Parliament, which includes MEPs from the MRF, voted “in favor” of the resolution. “I think they will also vote for her in the plenary hall,” concluded Yoncheva.
