Today, September 30, 2020, the District Prosecutor’s Office – Plovdiv initiated a pre-trial process in relation to the incident in the Garden of Tsar Simeon in Plovdiv on September 27, 2020, in which according to initial data a group of minors shot eggs and insulted people with different sexual orientation.
The investigation is carried out for causing minor bodily injury for xenophobic and hooligan motives, a crime according to art. 131 par. 1 point 12 above Art. 130 para. 2 of the Penal Code, for which a penalty of up to 1 year of “imprisonment” or “probation” is foreseen.
During the preliminary inspection carried out in the case, in the period from September 27 to 30, 2020, under the direction of the District Prosecutor’s Office – Plovdiv and thanks to the employees of the OD of the Ministry of the Interior – Plovdiv, They took explanations from more than 50 people involved in the incident. and eyewitnesses. Correspondence was maintained with the Regional Inspectorate of Education – Plovdiv, which provided information on the participants in the incident and the schools in which they study to conduct interviews with pedagogical advisers and psychologists in schools.
