The Ministry of the Interior continues to investigate the mysterious disappearance of little Mehmed from Yakoruda. The minor was declared wanted late Wednesday afternoon after his relatives told him that he had disappeared from the patio of the house where they live. About 24 hours later, the baby was found in the nearby village of Buntsevo. There, the boy was found by chance in the forest Murtaza Klechov. Mehmed was returned to his parents in good condition, but it is not yet clear how he got so far from home.

Dozens of police officers, sniffer dogs and mountain rescuers joined the search for Mehmed. At the beginning of the search, they found a sandal about 30 meters from the house in Yakoruda, writes BGNES. A little later, the second was found in the forest. The sandals are obviously for an older child, around 4-5 years old. Mehmed is the fourth child. He lives with his mother, father, and grandparents. His house is located near a forest, to which a steep path leads.
The signal for the disappearance of Mehmed, aged 2 years and 7 months, came just before 6 p.m. on Wednesday. “It was as if an eagle had picked it up”, Explains the disappearance of his grandfather, quoted by BGNES.
The search begins immediately and continues throughout the night. The disappearance was reported to the media on Thursday morning. A short time later, the prosecution announced that it had opened a case for illegal imprisonment, but did not say whether it suspected kidnapping. Meanwhile, the police searched the area, speaking with known relatives. In the afternoon, Klechov finds the boy. According to him, this is happening in the forest, about 5 km away. from the town of Buntsevo. The forester goes there to mark the trees for felling.

According to him, the boy was barefoot and wearing a T-shirt. He has wounds on his hands, but is otherwise in good condition. Klechov takes a photo of him and then puts it on.
“I went downstairs, put on my jacket, took off his socks and put them on. There were no pink shoes, T-shirt or panties. I wear it with my socks“Klechov told bTV.

According to him, it is possible that the boy only arrived at the place. However, it is unclear how the night passed. BGNES recalls that the displacement between Yakoruda and Buntsevo is 600 meters.
The boy’s relatives say he was kidnapped. According to them, the kidnapper was scared off by the police and released to be found. So far, this version has not been confirmed by researchers.
