The stuck and abandoned mountain range Jeep Wrangler was rescued without the help of a helicopter. A video of the operation, which lasted 20 minutes, was posted on Instagram.

The evacuation of the SUV was complicated not only by its dangerous position on the edge between two cliffs. The rescue team has worked hard just to get to the bike path in the Raiser Ridge massif above the town of Loma Linda in California.

The abandoned Wrangler became a global star after photos of the abandoned SUV sparked backlash on social media, then spread to the media. Although it seemed possible only by helicopter, the removal of the “jeep” from the ridge was carried out without special equipment.

The car was rescued by off-road enthusiasts from the Jalados 4×4 group. They managed to move as close to the place as possible with about 10 SUVs.

The Drive site says the owner of the “cowboy” Ricky Barba was contacted by Ford representatives, who offered to evacuate the car with the help of their direct competitor Bronco. However, the enthusiasts tackled the task before the marketing tactic kicked in.
