In the course of a specialized police operation to combat conventional crime, carried out in Aksakovo Municipality and Varna Municipality, under the supervision of the prosecution, a 41-year-old man from Burgas was arrested for robbery and deceit of the elderly singles.
It was established that the man presented himself as a municipal employee and offered to help the victims increase their pensions or provide them with cheap firewood. The frauds were committed in several districts. The man was charged and detained for up to 72 hours on the orders of a supervising prosecutor.
The people inspected during the specialized operation are 476, the cars inspected are 360. A total of 23 people were arrested: four are known by law enforcement in relation to pickpockets, seven people were identified through various fraud and seven are authors of robberies . 45 infractions of the Traffic Law have been established, treatment has been given in all cases, and three of them involve driving without a license.
