The “Great People’s Uprising 3” was announced by protesters on Independence Day. The civil demonstration in Sofia is carried out with a greater police presence.

At 19:00, the traditional protest rally in the Triangle of Power with the chant “We are here again” and the interpretation of the Bulgarian anthem has already begun. The motto of the protest is “Independence must be won, not celebrated.”

Before the protest, the police searched the tents of the mothers of children with disabilities from the “Sistema kills us”. They were looking for dangerous objects and flammable liquids.

As a precaution, the police seized watercolors, saline solution and oil for the unit. “This is not burned oil, only burned oil can burn, it’s for a unit, for a motorcycle,” explained one of the protesters.

After clashes between police and protesters in the first protest, titled “Great People’s Uprising,” people in the square now have saline solution in their tents if someone is injured.

And in the early afternoon, the Triangle of Power was filled with an impressive number of police and gendarmerie cars.
