Former Botev (Plovdiv) captain Lachezar Baltanov chose his personal profile on Facebook to comment the way he broke up with the “yellow-black” club.
This is what the midfielder wrote on the subject:
Separation is hard to write when you leave, but you leave your heart … Botev Plovdiv has become my hometown club, the best things that happen to a person have happened to me here. Here I found friends, family, I felt what it is like for people to love you and support you.
I am leaving with dignity, although NOT of my own free will, for two reasons. First of all, I have always been honest and loyal as a professional and have never allowed myself to tarnish the name of the team. Second, that I always gave 100% of myself, even when I was in bad shape, even when I was insulted and accused, this is forgotten.
I thank the boys who are my brothers with all my heart for being by my side. For those who will come after me, I want to feel the warmth and love of the fans, as we did when we won the cup. To those for whom I am leaving, who have hidden behind me, and who do not like me, I wish patience to understand the truth of life and reason to distinguish hypocrisy from courage.
I was not allowed to play my 200 games with the yellow and black team after only 6 games … In addition to making my dream of leading the College team come true.
Don’t look for a feeling from me and don’t expect me to stain the club that was the first in my life for 7 years. I leave with my head raised with pride and I believe that good times are coming for everyone, because I will always be part of Botev Plovdiv and he of me.
