President Kaloyan Metodiev’s chief of staff has resigned. He announced it himself on the social network Facebook.
“I am leaving the presidential institution due to a discrepancy in policy evaluations, methods and objectives (not in a conjunctural sense). Thanks to part of the team we work with. We are moving forward!” Metodiev wrote.
This is the second presidential chief of staff to step down after Professor Ivo Hristov. He was released by presidential decree on April 18, 2019. In his place Kaloyan Metodiev was appointed.
“President Rumen Radev signed a decree today, removing Kaloyan Metodiev from the post of head of his cabinet,” the ministry said.
