Chthe demand in the BSP begins with the congress. This became clear after the meeting of the National Council on Saturday, in which the composition of the leadership of the highest forum of the red party would be approved. The BSP 50th anniversary congress will be held on September 26 at the National Palace of Culture.
The National Council was last in this composition, which created many headaches for Cornelia Ninova. A new plenary session will be elected at the congress.
Representatives of the internal opposition were not included in the list proposed by Cornelia Ninova’s group for the leadership of the congress, those present at the meeting said. This caused a strong reaction.
“You’re talking about party unity, ah
it’s okay

you do “,
Dimitar Dabov announced. The congress is a jubilee and it is fair to include in its leadership the former Red leaders, as well as the prime ministers and heads of parliament of the BSP, regardless of their differences with Ninova, he demanded. Georgi Pirinski asked if it was correct to have a Bulgarian PSE president, and that he was not included, referring to Sergei Stanishev.
In response, Atanas Zafirov said that at its next meeting, the Executive Bureau will adjust the composition. He explained to the opposition that they could make proposals at the beginning of the forum itself.
The leadership of the congress is organized on the basis of delegates: 1 representative from each district, but generally includes members of the Executive Bureau and the group in the National Assembly. They are now

Kiril Dobrev and

as well as two of the EB members, who are also members of the group: Vessela Lecheva and Dragomir Stoynev. Atanas Merdjanov, Georgi Gergov, Vasil Antonov, Mihail Mikov, Georgi Pirinski will not have a place in the gallery of the National Palace of Culture.
Only 103 of the 186 members of the BSP National Council met for their last meeting. Most of the opposition did not come at all, and the others left long before the end of the session. The Congress documents were adopted by less than 80 votes.
Three of Ninova’s opponents in the leadership battle, Krassimir Yankov, Valeri Zhablyanov and Georgi Todorov, again criticized the way the direct vote was carried out. Todorov, who withdrew from the vote last week, even brought copies of the Oscar statuette, one of which for the leader for his greatest contribution to the BSP state.
On Saturday night, Ninova gathered her team for a banquet in Borovets. 70 people were invited, the 20 closest to her from Positano, some MPs and local leaders. The big surprise, however, was the presidential chief of staff, Kaloyan Metodiev. Many saw in her presence a sign that she would lead the red list in the upcoming elections.
