US entrepreneurs and former BiT TV owners, the Valnevi brothers, were among the 89 members of the initiative committee. Ivan Todorov, who has lived in the United States for more than 30 years and provided his family’s home in central Plovdiv for the party office, is another member of the committee. The representative of the Bulgarian community in Melbourne, Blagoy Blagoev, who has lived in Australia for 30 years, is the face of the party. Among the founders is an opera singer from the Cologne Opera – Georgi Chandarov.

Ruse’s dentist Dr. Penko Sotirov, Dr. Rumen Dinev, who participated in the establishment of the DSB, Dr. Sharev from Macedonia are among the committee physicians.

Athletes Svetla Zlateva and Nikolina Shtereva and volleyball player Boyan Ivanov and former weightlifter Blagoy Blagoev are among the athletes of the future party.

Georgi Stefanov, former editor of newspaper 7, and journalist Goran Blagoev are on the initiative committee, and in addition to presenting them on stage, Tsvetanov thanked them by name for their participation in his political project.

“Today, more than ever, our country needs to defend the Euro-Atlantic path, which is the best for the country. There is no way we can start such a project with people who have failed in their profession. There is no founding committee that be so open and open to the media. The team is not just one person, the team is all of us, “Tsvetanov said from the stage.

He hopes that more GERB members from all districts will join his party, Tsvetanov told reporters. He expressed his support for the protesters and criticized the police violence.
Education, the judiciary, small and medium businesses and culture, these will be the main areas in which “Republicans for Bulgaria” will work.

The initiative committee meeting passed in one hour, when Goran Blagoev presented the founding statement: “Bulgaria is governed without a clear vision of development. Imitation of reforms is the biggest sin of the ruling cabinets in recent decades. People would accept as politicians only to people who morally “People do not accept being ruled by someone who uses the public good for their own needs and purposes.” He added that the party’s goal will also be to make way for new faces in politics, work to address the demographic crisis and ensuring a decent old age for pensioners in Bulgaria.

The party also opened a bank account at DSK, in which to receive donations.

It was also decided that the constituent assembly will be held on September 27 at 1:00 p.m. at the Inter Expo Center.

“I am joining the party because I think it will be something new with new energy. The main reason I left the GERB was that I did not find efficiency in my work,” said former GERB deputy Dzhema Grozdanova, who left Parliament after the meeting. in the middle of July. The current National Assembly has exhausted its confidence in itself and early elections are needed, Grozdanova added.
