The co-president of democratic Bulgaria, Hristo Ivanov, does not want to become prime minister. On the other hand, the political force had several options to offer for the position. He told Darik Radio that he could broadcast to both a political figure and an expert.
According to him, “democratic Bulgaria” is ready to rule, but by its behavior outside parliament it has shown that it can be an extremely effective opposition. As an example, he gave the protests that began after his performance in the summer barns of the honorary president of the MRF, Ahmed Dogan.
“We are outside the parliament and we cause its greatest crisis. Imagine what will happen in the National Assembly, if someone allows himself to handle change without our participation, his life will be sad,” Ivanov said.
He expressed hope for snap elections in December, but said it would be difficult for Prime Minister Boyko Borissov to resign. Ivanov also set two main goals in the formation of a possible provisional government by President Rumen Radev: to organize fair elections without making foreign policy decisions. The co-chair did not suggest what managerial formations could be formed after the elections.
We do not know with what program and people Slavi Trifonov will appear and will come out of his silence. We do not know what the BSP will be like after its internal civil war. There are two clear formations that are completely opposite. These are “Democratic Bulgaria” and MRF “Everything else is in the form of metamorphosis or will continue to happen,” added Hristo Ivanov.
He also commented on the new external debt of BGN 5 billion. According to him, it should be kept as a reserve, not spent. “Borisov, Peevski and Dogan shouldn’t spend this money either. So far, at least we have spent the money saved,” Ivanov added.
