The Commission for the Protection of Competition (CPC) allowed Nova Broadcasting Group to acquire a bundle of radio stations and television channels. These are Channel 3, Veselina radio, Magic FM radio, Vitosha radio, The Voice and the musical televisions The Voice TV and Magic TV.

The decision on the merger was made on Friday, September 17, and was posted on the commission’s website on Saturday. It is subject to appeal within 14 days.

In early September, it became clear that Nova Broadcasting Group wanted to acquire the media package. Later, the CPC published on its website a notice of merger proceedings initiated. The new manager of the media group, Iva Stoyanova, announced in an interview with “24 Chasa” that Channel 3 is scheduled to become the group’s news television, so that the Nova TV program does not have to be interrupted for live broadcasts during extraordinary events.
