At the beginning of the day, the speaker of parliament Tsveta Karayancheva surprisingly arrived in Plovdiv for the opening of the fifth National Assembly in Lauta Park. She joined officials at the ceremony, including GERB MP Atanas Tashkov, Trakia Mayor Kostadin Dimitrov, colleagues from other regions, municipal council chief Alexander Darzhikov, and Deputy Mayor Plamen Panov.
“It is a great honor for me to be here, at this wonderful folk festival, at this lesson in patriotism. In these scenes we will see a lot of talent, a carousel of sounds and movements, colors and feelings,” said Karayancheva. She stressed that folklore is our treasure, bequeathed by our ancestors, from which we row with our hands full.
