“For me, and I suppose for many journalists, the latest decision of the Sofia City Court chaired by Zdravka Ivanova is extremely important because it pays attention to our work,” Valya Ahcheva told the publication yesterday.
For the first time it is pointed out that it is about freedom of expression, exercised in all its scope, that good practices have been observed, documents have been examined, interested parties have been sought … But most importantly, the court has accepted that freedom also includes the possible recourse to a certain degree of exaggeration or even provocation ”, added Ahchieva.
