Thieves disguised as ninjas in black camouflage clothing robbed Slavi Trifonov’s attic in Sofia on the Bulgarian government boulevard. The crime incident took place late on the night of September 5.

Slavi was not at his home the night of the robbery, and his neighbors said that he had not lived in the apartment for over a year and a half and that it had been advertised for sale for the sum of nearly BGN 3.8 million. The thieves broke into Slavi’s apartment through the front door of the apartment building, taking advantage of the fact that it was the first of three weekends and almost all the residents of the bar block were absent. There was no restaurant next to the cooperative. From security camera recordings in the area it was clear that there were three thieves, however their faces could not be distinguished, as they wore masks on their heads, according to Trifonov’s neighbors.

Slavi himself did not even come in person to inspect the looted apartment, and after a call from a private security guard sent his representative from the “Seven Eights” office. They searched the attic for nearly 20 minutes in the showman’s spacious apartment with their heads uncovered, and the Apaches didn’t leave with much loot: They stole perfumes, expensive clothing, some valuables, but no cash or jewelry.

A spokesman for the Interior Ministry told Weekend that no complaint had been made for a robbery at Slavi Trifonov’s home, and that his neighbors also said that the police had not been called. Trifonov feared that the Interior Ministry would take pictures of his stolen apartment and press them in the media to show the newborn politician’s luxury.
