“Ing. Simeon Peshov – a builder, public figure, benefactor and honorary citizen of Samokov has left us. A big heart stopped beating! This was written on Facebook by the mayor of Samokov municipality Vladimir Georgiev to the director of Glavbolgarstroy Holding AD and honorary president of the Bulgarian Chamber of Builders, the engineer Simeon Peshov, who passed away yesterday.
There is no Samokov man who does not know the name of Simeon Peshov. It is difficult to say in a few words everything he has done in his entire life. I’ll just say that it fills the word “personality” with content. A vivid example of a man with an exceptional contribution to social and cultural life, not only for Samokov, but for the entire country. We know him as a benefactor, as a builder and as a true patriot. In love with his hometown, he never stopped working for him – with heart, with ideas. He loved to look into the future, and when the future became the present, his ideas were realized. There were no dreams for him. His dreams were goals that were only a matter of time. His contagious enthusiasm led everyone around him to support and trust him, because that’s how leaders are, they motivate and lead to the goal, and I say this from the position of a man and mayor who had the opportunity and honor to work with him and be part of his projects.
On behalf of each resident of Samokov, I bow down to him and express my great gratitude for leaving his heart in Samokov. For him, Belchin was a cause. Just a few days ago, another big goal came true: the Tsari Mali graduate to organize a great festival. And this became a fact … like a swan song, with a final and incessant applause.
There are few worthy people in our time … those whom we can only admire and try to take at least a part of the power of their spirit and the infinite energy to create and build, which guides them throughout their life. Because the measure of value is what will remain in time, for generations. And Simeon Peshov certainly left a bright trail that will shine for a long time, even after he left us.
Last goodbye and reverence to a worthy man ”, concludes Georgiev.
