More classes in quarantine. Dozens of students and several teachers from different cities are staying home because of the coronavirus just two days after the start of the new school year. COVID-19 positive samples are now available at Sofia, Ruse, Stara Zagora and Lovech schools. Education Minister Krassimir Valchev predicts that 10-15 new infected teachers and students are expected every day.
Nearly 80 children from the capital’s 55 school must undergo PCR testing for COVID-19 after coming into contact with some of the eight infected teachers. The samples prepared so far are negative. Testing will continue tomorrow.

Valchev: 10-15 teachers and students per day will test positive for COVID-19
Education Minister Krassimir Valchev is categorical: so far the learning process is not in jeopardy. “We have to get used to the idea that we will have patients. If we have 200 patients a day, there will be at least 10 to 15 teachers and students.
