BSP and MRF want the resignation of the president of the 44th National Assembly Tsveta Karayancheva of GERB. The reason for the BSP – that it turned the parliament toilet into a political factor, because it did not allow a child from the group “The system kills us”, who tried to barricade themselves in the lobby of the building on Wednesday. The reason for the MRF – which acted on an old signal of incompatibility of positions of a member of the Central Election Commission, elected by parliament.
Karayancheva’s first resignation was demanded by the BSP deputies, who in a statement by the group announced that there is no greater cynicism than bringing the political struggle to physiological needs. MRF leader Mustafa Karadayi later announced that the movement would begin consultations with other political groups to present a draft decision to remove Karayancheva. According to the rules, it can be presented by 80 deputies and both parties have 103 signatures. For Karayancheva to be removed, the decision needs to be supported by a majority of the deputies during the vote.
“The problem is that people cannot enter the National Assembly building,” said Anton Kutev, explaining that this happens during protests over corruption, compromised judiciary, inequalities, low incomes, etc., and that this cannot happen. be justified by the coronavirus pandemic.
The socialist gave the example that the same child was in the plenary hall two years ago, when the laws regarding people with disabilities were passed, and now citizens and the media cannot even reach the parliament office .
“We want Tsveta Karayancheva’s resignation now and immediately,” Anton Kutev announced.
In response, Tsveta Karayancheva said: “I personally will not resign.”
After declaring himself a patient person who always seeks the truth, he said that he is trying to use a child. According to her, Wednesday’s case was a provocation, from which the BSP is advertising, and Maya Manolova is trying to build a political career.
After justifying the limited access to the anti-epidemic commission meetings, he announced that the protesters on Wednesday were not beaten when they were removed from the building, and the National Security Service had videos about it.
“I will not allow the National Assembly to participate in provocations,” Tsveta Karayancheva said. According to her, these were made by “a failed mayor” and a party that “will become a revolution, but will not be there.”
Behind her, Mustafa Karadayi spoke from the rostrum, criticizing her pathos and announcing the MRF’s intention to initiate consultations for her resignation due to her inaction at the signal. “With your action or inaction, she will resign,” he announced.
Tsveta Karayancheva did not reply. She is the second speaker of the 44th parliament after her predecessor, Dimitar Glavchev, resigned over a request from the BSP for her resignation and a boycott of the sessions.
Subsequently, the leader of “Stand Up.BG” Maya Manolova also demanded the resignation of Karayancheva, as well as an internal inspection by the security service.
